Me and Universe. The idea was born during the Coronavirus pandemic from a need to keep creating and being of service to my fellow humans, as well as ensuring my network had a safe and non judgemental space on social media. From the feedback I’ve had it really seems to be helping people, it’s also enhanced my life and so I intend to keep it going into the future.

My outlook. I’ve spent a huge part of my life overthinking and relying on the opinions and feedback of others for validation that I’m enough, all the while masking my imposter syndrome with a confident persona. It’s an exhausting juggling act and one it seems more people struggle with than I realised, we just don’t really talk about it. I’m learning to accept that I’m an imperfect work in progress and that’s OK. I’m now using every ounce of my being to learn, grow and challenge my own unconscious behaviours through honesty and positive deeds, while making space for others to join me in doing the same.

My coaching. I’m an ILM level 5 qualified coach, currently coaching primarily within the organisation I am employed by, but will take on the right external clients or projects, so do get in touch to find out how I can help.

My small business. Pop Up York is an independent pop-up cinema and events company, a passion project born out of many years running local Community Cinema, Film at the Folk Hall. I aim to bring music, film and fun activities into neighbourhoods at a cost which allows anyone and everyone to access it. I also take on private work with mobile cinema and disco for your special occasion. As well as being a license holder I’m experienced in running small to medium sized events and also love to collaborate with venues and organisers.

My voluntary work. As well as running the non-profit Film at the Folk Hall in New Earswick. I am a proud member and volunteer for Menfulness – An incredible charity focused on improving men’s mental health before crisis, using social media, events and activities. They’ve helped me immensely and now I’m proud to be helping them.
